Robotic birds
The Robotic birds are small electric motors fitted with two lights. They hang from the ceiling and are controlled by a BBC Microcomputer.
The program selects randomly two of the birds, which have a few chirping exchanges. Another routine will select a single bird and make it sing a more complex solo song.
Robotic bird solo
The sounds are synthesised in real time by the sound chip on the BBC Micro, and played through a speaker located at the vertical of the bird.
Most of the robotic birds live in Automated forests.
