CCTV soundscape 2001
CCTV soundscape

CCTV Soundscape is based on a model landscape measuring approximately 1.5 x 1.5 metres over which a video camera hovers. The landscape is comprised of an industrial and a rural zone.

Installed in another room is a control console with a joystick facing a video projection. The image on the screen is a live feed from the camera. The user controls the camera with the joystick, thus displaying various bird's views of the miniature landscape. Sound is played according to the currently displayed portion of the landscape.

CCTV Soundscape was commissioned by Lovebytes, Sheffield, UK, for the Lovebytes Festival 2001. Programming in assembly language was developed with Chris Evans.
